Starting her own business in 2014, Julie realized similarities amongst design firms that limited the quality of the client's experience and spread budgets thin. Backed by the knowledge and know-how from years in the industry, this was the inspiration to launch 1st Design, Inc and create a business of offering multiple design services and products.

This includes all ranges of services, from color consultations and IKEA kitchen planning, to fully customized kitchen and bath renovations and whole-home designs.

A unique service that we are proud to offer are our kitchen designs using cabinetry from IKEA’s kitchen line. We have years of experience designing IKEA kitchens that we know the products inside and out and how to make what could be an overwhelming process, seamless. In this unique market, we have great resources for specialty installers and even companies that create custom fronts for IKEA’s systems!
